Beth was born in Clifton, CO on May 23, 1934. She was born to Donald and Violet (Mills) Barrick. Beth spent her childhood in Clifton where she attended school and graduated from Central High School. After graduating high school, Beth got married and started a family. Out of that union she welcomed two daughters, Barbara Gearhart and Linda (Gearhart) Story. She met the love of her life, Jimmy Drake, and they married on May 17, 1969 combining two families into one. Beth had many careers, hobbies, and talents. Her biggest achievements in life was being a wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. Beth is survived by her daughters, Barbara, Linda, and Jeanice; son, Jimmy Dean; brother, Paul Barrick; 11 grandkids and five great-grandkids. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her loving husband, Jim. Please join in a celebration of life on December 23 at 10:00 a.m. at Clifton Christian Church

Beth Elaine Drake, 83, Grand Junction, died Dec. 19, 2017, at LaVilla Grande Care Center. Services will take place at 10 a.m. today at the Clifton Christian Church. She was a homemaker. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Gearhart of Clifton and Linda Story of Hayden; one brother, Paul Barrick of Clifton; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
