Grand Junction Daily Sentinel page 5A Obituary - December 28, 2017

Naola Urban passed away December 24, 2017, at the Hope West Hospice Care Center. Her family is rejoicing in the 95 years she experienced as a true Grand Junction native.
Naola was born from the union of Clarence and Eva Veatch and spent her childhood in the Pear Park section of the Grand Valley. She was the last of the 1940 Fruitvale graduating class and later graduated from the Mesa College. She married Charles B. Urban Jr., he preceded her in death on March 3, 2011 after 69 years of marriage.
Naola was first born of seven children: Anita, Keith, Arless, Neil, Linda and Gene and the mother of three, Raelene, Gary and Darrell. She leaves behind six grandchildren, Troy, Trent, Todd and Robert Blumenthal and Clay and Danika Urban, and 11 great-grandchildren, Taylor Laine , Reilly, Ivan, Garett, Tyler, Ethan, Ryan, Seth, Rianne Blumenthal, Gracy Okes and Max Marshall.
As a life long part of Pear Park Baptist Church, she had many opportunities to serve her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Being a teacher of children was probably her greatest achievement. She was a blue ribbon recipient for a crocheted table cloth. She and Charles enjoyed camping and arrowhead hunting during their site seeing trips. She had a great knowledge for the Grand Junction History.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 29, 2017, at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends and family may leave their condolences at www.martinmortuary.com.
