Duane Oliver "Dewey" Atkinson March 21, 1938 - December 17, 2017
Duane Oliver "Dewey" Atkinson was born March 21, 1938, in Lake City, MN and entered eternal rest on December 17, 2017, in Grand Junction, CO. He leaves his loving wife, Carolyn of Grand Junction, CO; two daughters; four sons; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He served in the U.S. Navy Shore Patrol for four years. Dewey had been a heavy equipment operator for the I.B.E.W. union for 36 years, retiring in 1991. The family invites friends to attend the Celebration of Life Service Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Palisade Funeral Home Chapel, 729 Elberta Ave., Palisade, CO. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Palisade Funeral Home.
