William Frank Geserick III, Dr. Bill to his patients, died on November 28, 2017 at the age of 67 in Mesa, AZ. He is survived by wife Carol, son Tom, Steamboat Springs, daughter Chrissy Pilley, Fort Collins, brother Chuck, Fort Worth, TX and sister Laurie Setar, Wheaton, IL. Bill spent most of his youth in Park Forest, IL playing baseball, basketball, golf and the trumpet. He graduated Valedictorian from Rich East HS, Park Forest, IL in 1968. He attended DePauw University, Greencastle, IN and was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity, Phi Eta Sigma Fraternity and Phi Beta Kappa. He graduated in 1972 and married Carol Repke before entering Stritch School of Medicine, Loyola University, Maywood, IL. Upon graduation, Bill did 1 year of Internal Medicine Residency at Hines VA Hospital, Maywood, IL before completing a Family Practice Residency at Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke, VA in 1979. Bill spent the next 5 years in Elgin, OR at the Elgin Medical Center and running the Emergency Room for Grande Ronde Hospital in La Grande, OR. In 1984, Bill moved to Tulsa, OK to work for HMO Pru-Care. In 1986, Bill moved to Denver, CO and spent the next 20 years in Family Practice working at the Denver Clinic, Kaiser Permanente and running the Coors Medical Center. During this time, he was recognized by the American Academy of Family Physicians for teaching residents from the University of Colorado Medical School. In 2005, Bill joined the South Routt Medical Center in Oak Creek. He helped revive the clinic and get financial help as a Medical Service District. In 2012, Bill retired and along with Carol, hit the road in their RV. They traveled for 5 years, spending winters in Mesa, AZ and returning to Colorado each summer.
