Twila Maxine Elliott March 16, 1927 - March 28, 2018
Twila Maxine Elliott went to be with her Lord on March 28, 2018, in Grand Junction, CO, at the age of 91. Born in Elk County, KS, on March 16, 1927, to Irvin and Thelma Osborn, she was the oldest of seven children. Maxine was married to Floyd Victor Elliott on March 20, 1946, after writing to him for two years before meeting him. After coming home from overseas during WWII, he immediately went to see her, and they were married six months later. To this union were born six children. Their first home was in Blackwell, OK. After six years, they felt a call to the ministry and moved to Piedmont, KS, as pastors. Both were licensed in 1953 as Assembly of God ministers. They lived in Kansas, Arkansas, Tennessee, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Colorado, where they accepted churches as pastors. Maxine loved adventure, crafts, fishing, hunting, and camping. Survivors include daughters, DeAnza (Mark) Riffel of El Dorado, KS; Cathy (Andy) Salagaj of Woodland Park, CO, and Carolyn (Bob) Stone of Grand Junction; sons, Floyd (Verna) Elliott of Grand Junction, and Mike Elliott of Wichita, KS; ten grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters, and two brothers. Preceding her in death was her husband, Victor; son, Jerry; her mother and father; one sister, and one brother. Visitation will take place at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary Monday, April 2, from 5 - 7:00 p.m. Services will be held at Victory Life Church, Tuesday, April 3, at 11:00 a.m.

Twila “Maxine” Elliott, 91, Grand Junction, died March 28, 2018, at HopeWest Hospice Care Center. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Victory Life Church. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. She was a minister with the Assemblies of God. Survivors include two sons, Mike of Wichita, Kansas, and Floyd V. of Grand Junction; three daughters, Cathy Salagaj of Woodland Park, DeAnza Riffel of El Dorado, Kansas, and Carolyn Stone of Grand Junction; one brother, Ron Osborn; one sister, Regina Osborn Shultz; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
