April Dawn Irwin, 38, Grand Junction, died Jan. 20, 2018, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Services will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday at Brown’s Cremation and Funeral Service. She was a retaurant general manager. Survivors include her husband, Michael A.; her father, Frank Lucero, step-mother, Stacey Lucero, her mother, Suzann Hille, step-father, Mark Hille, all of Grand Junction; step-children, Kira, Brice, and Preston; four brothers, Kyle Hille of Kentucky, Adam Lucero of Las Vegas, Nevada, Eloy Vendegna of Grand Junction, and Andrew Lucero of Los Angeles; and four sisters, Miranda Martinez, and Christina Terraglia, both of Grand Junction, Lydia Zobel of Fort Collins, and Carrie Yantzer of Erie.

Born April 13, 1979, April Dawn Lucero blessed her mother, Suzann and father, Frank. April attended and graduated from Central High School in 1998 where she loved many friends and singing. July 1, 2000, April married the love of her life, Michael Irwin, and together they cheered on their beloved Broncos. You could catch April in her brightest broncos gear every Sunday cheering on her team. A lover of all things yellow, sunflowers and animals you could find her with her furbabies Tank, Whiskey and Flower. Family and friends will remember April as a beautiful soul who was always ready to share a good laugh. April had always been a hard worker from the time she was old enough to enter the workforce and was very dedicated to her job at IHop for many, many years before her illness. Throughout the years she met many people and made many friends who will cherish memories and stories for years to come. April will be greatly missed today and forever and loved even more. April is survived by her husband, Michael Irwin; mother, Suzann (Mark) Hille; father, Frank (Stacy) Lucero; grandmothers, Lupe Lucero and Roseanne Lucero; stepchildren, Kira, Bryce and Preston; sisters, Miranda (JD) Martinez, Carrie (JY) Yantzer, Lydia (Kaleb) Zobel, Christina (Gabriel) Terraglia; brothers, Kyle Hille, Eloy (Norma) Vendegna, Adam (Megan) Lucero, and Andrew Lucero; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Services have been planned for Saturday, January 27, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Browns Funeral Services, 904 N. 7th Street. A reception will immediately follow at Chipeta Golf course, 222 29 Road.
