Harold D. Frazier March 25, 1931 - January 16, 2018
Harold D. Frazier passed away on January 16, 2018. He was born on March 25, 1931, in Independence, Kansas, to Ira John and Ida May Frazier. Harold spent his early years on a farm and always said he had a perfect childhood. In 1945 the family moved to Black Forest, CO, where he attended Falcon High School. Harold joined the Army in 1951 and proudly served his country in Korea, where he was wounded and awarded the Purple Heart and several other medals. Harold and Mary Lee were married in October of 1952. They had a dairy farm in partnership with Harold’s father, then bought and operated Frazier’s Auto Repair. Harold and Mary’s long and happy marriage produced three children. In 1975 the family moved to Cedaredge, CO. Harold operated Frazier Insulation for several years and then went to work for Soil Conservation Services until he retired. Harold was a member of First Baptist Church in Cedaredge, where he served in several capacities. Favorite family pastimes were camping, hunting and fishing in various places of Colorado. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Ira John and Ida May Frazier. He is survived by Mary Frazier, his wife of 65 years; son, Clayton (Sally) of Denver, CO; son, Kevin (Debbie) of Vancouver, WA; daughter Mary Susan Rowland (Lane) of Grand Junction, CO; grandchildren, Ryan Lee Frazier (Meghann) of Washington State; Paige Frazier of Washington State, and Ian Cable of Denver, CO, and great-grandchild, Paityn Noe. A committal service will be held on Wednesday, January 31 at 3:00 p.m. at the Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado in Grand Junction.
