Andy S. Kolenut, 63, Grand Jucntion, died April 3, 2018, at his home. Services will take place at 1 p.m. April 13 at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado. He served in the U.S. Army and was a truck driver. Survivors include his wife, Lucy; two sons, Andreas of Greeley, and Kelsey; one daughter, Cassandra Williams of Fruita; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Andy S. Kolenut was born January 29, 1955, in Megaplantanos Community, Greece. He was adopted on April 10, 1962, in Anchorage, Alaska, by Edward C. and Romana C. Kolenut, and made his home in Cordova, AK. He met his wife of 43 years in Cordova, AK, and married in Grand Junction, CO, on February 8, 1975. Andy served in the U.S. Army for 20 years. He retired June of 1992. He and his wife then made their home in Grand Junction. He is survived by his wife, Lucy Kolenut; daughter, Cassandra and husband, Wes Williams of Fruita, CO; sons, Andreas Kolenut of Greeley, and Kelsey Kolenut; grandchildren, Ari, Maya, Alex, Tyler, Caelen, Aidan, Isabella, and Ethan; and great-grandchildren, Kaara, Darryn, and Kaliah. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to HopeWest Hospice, 3090B North 12th Street, Grand Junction, CO 81506; Muscular Dystrophy Association in memory of his nephew, Terry Stolt, https://www.mda.org/; or the American Cancer Society. A Memorial Service will be held at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado at 1:00 Friday, April 13, with a reception to follow at 2435 Hill Avenue.
