Former Grand Junction resident Verne Paul Hunt, 71, Saratoga, Wyoming, died Jan. 17, 2018, at his home. A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the church, with burial to follow at Orchard Mesa Cemetery. Survivors include three sons, John Kutzschebauch of Grand Junction, Brian Hunt of Portland, Oregon, and Nathan Hunt of Bagdad, Arizona; one daughter, Cassandra Holman of Apple Valley, California; eight brothers, Jim Hunt of Hankinson, North Dakota, Raymond Hunt of Hallock, Minnesota, John Hunt of Maple Grove, Minnesota, Bill Hunt of Warroad, Minnesota, Bob Hunt of Wadena, Minnesota, Daniel Hunt of Fargo, North Dakota, David Hunt of Waseca, Minnesota, and Gerald Hunt of Excelsior, Minnesota; seven sisters, Kathy LaPlante of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, Teresa Pennebaker of Fargo, JoAnne Cruz of Shakopee, Minnesota, Loretta Hunt of Cavalier, North Dakota, Mary Heck of Princeton, Minnesota, Carol Kratzke of Hawley, Minnesota, and Peggy Fenster of Mandan, North Dakota; and 13 grandchildren.
