Kenneth Ira Langstaff, 86, Grand Junction, died March 19, 2018, in Grand Junction. Services will take place at 11 a.m. Monday at Martin Mortuary. Committal service will follow at 1 p.m. at the Veterans Cemetery of Western Colorado. He was a master wood craftsman. Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Lee of Salem, Oregon, and Charlie Ira of Grand Junction; two daughters, Cheri Lea Pitcock of Grand Junction and Terri Jean Strengths of Pensacola, Florida; one brother, Raymond Langstaff of Rifle; one sister, Pearl Jewel of Rifle; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Kenneth Ira Langstaff, 86, passed away on March 19, in Grand Junction. Kenneth was born in Rifle, Colorado, on February 15, 1932, and was the first of five children born to Ira and Vivian Langstaff. He enlisted in the Marines in 1951, and spent time in Korea. Kenneth married Barbara Stanfield, of Santa Ana, California, in 1956. They were married 47 wonderful years before she passed away in 2004. Kenneth leaves behind two sons, Kenneth Lee Langstaff, of Oregon, and Charlie Langstaff, of Grand Junction; two daughters, Cherri Pitcock, of Grand Junction, and Terri Strenght, of Florida; sister, Pearl Jewel, of Rifle; brother, Raymond Langstaff, of Rifle; seven grandchildren, and 14 greatgrandchildren. A service of remembrance will be held on Monday, March 26, at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Mortuary. A committal service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Veteran’s Cemetery of Western Colorado. Kenneth will best be remembered for being a loving father, husband, "grandpaw", and friend, and for always saving everyone in our family whenever necessary; always with love, a hug...and sometimes a little dismay.
