Eleanor L. Sawyer March 23, 1919 - June 1, 2018
Ellie passed away at the Colorado State Veterans Home in Rifle, Colorado on Friday morning, June 1, 2018. She was born in New Jersey and was a resident of the Grand Valley for more than 40 years. Ellie was also a WWII Army Veteran. She was married to her loving husband, Robert (deceased) ,US Navy WWII Veteran, for more than 65 years. She is survived by a son, William Sawyer, of Grand Junction; daughters, Robin Arnold and Nancy Gore, of Ohio; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Military Honors Committal Service to be held at the Veterans Cemetery of Western Colorado in Grand Junction on Monday, June 18, 2018 at 10:00am.
