Herbert Russell Smith, 78, Grand Junction, died June 3, 2018, at Wellbrook Transitional Rehabilitation Center. Services will take place at 1 p.m. Friday at the Grand Junction Memorial Gardens Cemetery. He was a ceramic engineer. Survivors include his wife, DeeAnn; two sons, Steve and Wayne, both of Denver; one daughter, Gail Gaty of Denver; and four grandchildren.
