Glenn Dale Williamson passed away early in the morning on April 7, 2018, at home surrounded by family. Glenn was born in Strasburg, CO, at his family farm on October 5, 1931. He graduated from high school in 1949. Glenn served in the U.S. Army from 1954-1956. He was proud of his service in the Army and deeply patriotic. In 1957, Glenn married Beverly Clark in Deer Trail, Colorado. He managed lumber yards and worked for Production Credit Association in Rifle, CO, for 15 years. He enjoyed shooting the breeze with ranchers and farmers and loved cutting wheat. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Nellie Williamson; two sisters and two brothers. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Beverly; children, Troy (Toni) Williamson; Sherri (Jim) Redmond, and Trent (Kristen) Williamson; grandchildren, Makenzi (Chris), Kelsi (Doug), Levi (Haley), Abayomi (Brittany), Karli, Cole, Olivia, Jace, and Kennedy, and great-granddaughter, Parker. Glenn and Beverly enjoyed traveling and dancing together. Glenn worked for the U.S. Forest Service every summer since 2002. He loved spending time hunting and fishing, and enjoyed making homemade ice cream for his grandchildren. Glenn was a quiet voice of empathy for his family and all who knew him - never hesitating to extend grace and kindness. Glenn was an expert prankster until his final moments, always followed by a good laugh. Services will be held at Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery on April 13th, 2018, at 3:00 p.m. A Celebration of Glenn’s life will follow at 5:00 p.m. at Clifton Christian Church. All are welcome to join.
