Ethel Marvin Goldsbrough was born in Devisius, Kan., on December 25, 1888. and passed away in Oak Creek, Colo,. June 2, 1954, the result of a lengthy and painful illness.
She spent her early life in Cripple Creek, Colo., moving to Spokane,. Wash., where she lived for 12 years and returning to Colorado in 1928. She attended Colorado College of Chiropractic and upon her graduation came to Routt county and began her practice, serving the people of Western Colorado for 20 years in this capacity.
Funeral services were conducted from the Legion Hut on Saturday afternoon, June 5, with Rev. C. Daniel Clarke in charge. Music was furnished by Harry Hudson, whose songs were accompanied by Mrs Charles Milavec Pallbearers included Charles Milavec, Bernard Kuskie, Virgil Phillips, George Moraites, George Hageman and David Hageman. Interment followed in the Oak Creek cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Thomas A. Goldsbrough; two sons, C. C. Eden of Spokane, Wash., and R. J. Gilbert of Oak Creek; one sister, Josie Newby of Steamboat Springs; two brothers, George Marvin of Tyrone, Neb., and Earl Marvin of Monrovia, Calif.; one stepson, Thomas A. Goldsbrough Jr., and four stepdaughters, Shirley Goldsbrough, Dorothy Lomon, Louise Demmick and Jane Bates.
