Jerome "Jerry" Patrick Woomer, 56, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Thursday, July 6, 2018, in Denver, CO. Jerry was born in Benton, IL on October 16, 1961, to parents, Timothy "Tim" C. Woomer and Judith "Judy" M. Woomer. He was the fourth of nine children. Jerry graduated from Grand Junction High School in 1980. He went on to graduate from Colorado State University with his undergraduate and later from Pepperdine University with his MBA. Jerry loved his family, hunting, fishing, primitive archery, house renovation and leatherwork. He recently bought a house in Denver, which he was renovating, and intended to share with his beloved partner, Maija Priebe. He is survived by his two sons, Mitch (Camille) Woomer and Gus Woomer; and their mother, Jill Woomer, all of Denver, CO. He is also survived by his siblings and their spouses, Mary (Greg) Adams; Tim (Diane) Woomer, Ann (Pat) Connor, Ellen (Todd) Haebe, Tod (Romaine) Woomer, Chris (Leona) Woomer, Megan (Grady) Vanderhoofven, Elizabeth (Brian) Paterick as well as 30 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Jerry had a kind and gentle soul, was cherished by his family, and always added ’good vibes’to a get together. His easy-going nature will be sorely missed by all who knew him. The world is a lesser place without him. A visitation is planned from 6 - 8:00 p.m., with Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 13th. Funeral Mass will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 14th. All services will be held at the Archdiocese of Denver Mortuary Chapel at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 12801 W. 44th Ave., Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.
