Loren Grieser February 12, 1937 - May 10, 2018
Loren Grieser passed on May10, 2018. Born to John and Merlin Grieser of Lincoln, NE, he is survived by Judy Frantz, wife of 13 years, and partner of 25; daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and James St. Louis; Ellen and Phil Kampfe; Joanna and Mike Saville, and Ma’ata and Sean Lipford; grandchildren, Erin, Ramsey, Tyler, Brendan, Baylee, Bryce, Brett, Grant, Jimmy, Taylor, and Tanner; great-grandchildren, Kaidan, Hunter, Braxton, Ryder, Brecklyn, and Isaiah, as well as his nieces and nephews. He was known as the greatest "Papa" by all his grandchildren, and had a special place in his heart for each one. Preceding him in death are step-son, Jim Goble, and brothers, Dennis and Gary Grieser. Loren was born in Beatrice, NE and raised in Lincoln. He served in the Army and was discharged with honors. He learned his carpentry skills in Los Angeles, CA. Always wanting to move to CO, he started his career with Best Tops in Grand Junction and later built his own company, Grieser Const. Loren was a perfectionist and transformed many homes. One of his greatest joys was helping others, especially his family, with his expert carpentry skills. Loren loved the mountains and built his dream home at Vega Reservoir. He also spent time in Ouray and Montrose. He loved riding ATV’s, snowmobiles, camping and jeeping, especially with friends and family. Loren was highly respected, a straight shooter, and the hardest working man you could meet. His greatest gift was always telling his family he loved them. He will be missed beyond measure! Forever in our hearts.
