Muriel "Irene" Robinson February 6, 1935 - March 16, 2018
It is with hearts full of love and prayer the family of Muriel "Irene" (Murry) Robinson announce that God called her home and set her soul free, March 16, 2018, at the age of 83 years. She was a proud Fruita High School Wildcat and a typical "All American Girl". In high school she was very active in school clubs such as Chorus, Home Makers of America, and Science Club. She participated in Declamation Contests (debate team), the school newspaper, the Pep Club and the Thespians Club (drama). She was Junior Prom Queen, and runner up for Homecoming Queen in high school. A wonderful high school memory she had was at the end of each school bus ride her friends on the bus would sing "Good Night Irene" to her. Her high school friends were very near and dear to her heart and leaving them all behind when she moved to Canada with her family was one of the hardest things she had to do. She did her best to stay in touch with as many as she could through writing very lengthy Christmas letters and attending as many high school and family reunions as she could. She will be remembered with love by her five children and their families, Darrell (Lois) Robinson, Lesa (Niall) MacTaggart, Beth Ann (Darren) Breitkreitz, Jane (Karl) Rottier, and Roma (Doryl) Schmidt; 18 grandchildren, and seven greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Robinson; mother, Muriel; father, Art, and her brothers, Rex and Roy. She will be missed by her remaining family, Arlie (Rosemary) Murry, Opal (Gordon) Robinson, Gene Murry; her second husband, Frank Bailey, and their families.
