Seabry could spin the yarns ........ Was in law enforcement his entire life; begining as a policeman in Leadville for three years, and then worked for the Colorado State Patrol based in Idaho Springs for five years. He was with the patrol for 21 years, spending most of his time based in Eagle County. Seabry then took the job of Eagle County sheriff, one he held for 16 years. Afterward, he served two four year terms as mayor of Eagle.
