Juanita Marie Barker June 24, 1934 - June 16, 2018
Marie was born June 24, 1934, in Norman, Oklahoma, to Alvis and Edith Hagood and passed away on June 16, 2018, at the HopeWest Hospice facility in Grand Junction, CO. Her family moved to Ontario, Oregon, in 1936. She attended grade school at Pioneer School and with her sweetheart, Bob, graduated from Ontario High School in 1952 and was married in 1953. They built their marriage and life on Romans 8:28. She was a faithful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a true example of holy living. A plain life was her choice. She is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob"; son, Max and wife, Adonna of Caldwell, ID; son, Myron and wife, Donna of Grand Junction, CO; daughter, Leah of Rochester, MN; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Doris of Portland, OR, and brother, Richard of Nampa, ID. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Neil, Melvin, and Julian, and sister, Betty. Viewing will be at the Grand Junction Cottonwood Bible Chapel on June 20, 10:00 a.m. with the service following at 11:30 a.m. Viewing and interment will be held at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette, ID, June 22.
