Lee Sena died on Oct. 8 at his home in Gypsum of congestive heart failure.

Sena was born on June 13, 1931, in Alamosa, Colo., to Eli Senna and Ella Mestes. He served in the Army Reserve, stationed in Germany, from Jan. 4, 1952 and was honorably discharged on Jan. 3, 1961. In 1972, he moved wife and six children to Eagle County and was in construction almost his whole life. He was well known for his knowledge of carpentry. He belonged to the American Legion

He was a man of principle who stood up for what he believed in and was a man of honor who was liked and respected by many. He always put his family first, and his children and grandchildren were everything to him.

His sons are Jeff, Rodney, Mark, Robert and Joseph Sena; daughter is Bernadette; and his sisters, Sara Naranjo, Betty Quintana and Rita Gonzalez.

The will be memorial services Friday at 1 p.m. at St. Mary’s in Eagle. There will be military honors at Fort Logan in Denver, and anyone is welcome. For more information, e-mail brndtts@yahoo.com
