Arlie William Christian, 99, Clifton, died April 16, 2018, in Grand Junction. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the Palisade Funeral Home chapel. Services will take place at 2 p.m. Monday at the mortuary chapel. He was a bricklayer. Survivors include three sons, Colin, Therin, and Thad; one daughter, Vonda; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Arlie W. Christian June 2, 1918 - April 16, 2018
Arlie William Christian, of Clifton, Colorado, passed away peacfully April 16, 2018, at HopeWest in Grand Junction, Colorado, with his family by his side, at the age of 99. Arlie was born June 2, 1918, to John and Susie Christian in Alfalfa, Oklahoma. He married his loving wife, Opal, December 23, 1937. Arlie and Opal moved to Clifton, Colorado in 1955. Arlie had been a brick layer for 70 years, and was a life member of the International Union of Brick Layers, as well as a member of the Brick Layers Union Local number 7. His best times were spent with the whole family, fishing, hunting for elk and deer, antlers and arrowheads. He especially enjoyed all of his trips to Lake Powell with the family, and the time they spent together. Arlie is preceded in death by his father, John; mother, Susi; his wife, Opal, and sons, Wendell and Arlie E. "Chris". He leaves three sons, Theren, Thad and Colin; daughter, Vonda;12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and three greatgreat-grandchildern. Visitation will be Sunday, April 22, 2018, from 2 - 6:00 p.m. at the Palisade Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 23, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. also at the Palisade Funeral Home Chapel, with Chaplain Scott Hogue officiating. Burial will follow at Palisade Cemetery, Palisade,Colorado.
