Funeral services for Jimmy Earle Shelden, 48, of Gypsum were held at Branson Community Church in Branson, Colo.
Mr. Shelden, a Colorado Water Commisioner in the Eagle/Gypsum area died Friday, July 21, in Glenwood Springs. He was born Oct. 9, 1940, in Branson the son o fJames Edward Shelden and Velma Odessa Hicks Shelden. He graduated from Trinidad High School, received an associate degree from Trinidad Junior College and then earned his bachelor of science in 1986 from Colorado State University.
Mr. Shelden was married April 10, 1976, in Pueblo.
Surviving are his wife Beverly Shelden of Gypsum, three children, Mary Shelden, Clayton Shelden and Jared Shelden, of the family home; his mother Odessa Shelden of Branson, a sister Nita Sue Seigel of Oklahoma. Preceded in death by his father. Internment was at the Branson Community Cemetery.
