Carol L. Black August 16, 1947 - April 12, 2018
In Loving Memory - Our Mother was born and raised in Grand Junction, Colorado to Frank and Bette Thompson. She grew up to be a strong independent woman. After divorcing her first husband and losing her second husband, she became a single mother. She went back to college and earned an associate degree in accounting. She was a bookkeeper for over 30 years. She loved to read, cross-stitch and do other crafty endeavors as well as hiking, fishing, and camping. She had the opportunity to live in Italy as well as travel to various states. She has left behind two daughters, Christine K. Baughman and Kelley L. Renville; her brother, Vern E. Thompson and sister-inlaw, Jeri Thompson; three grandchildren, William, Kyra, and Mitchell Renville along with several other family members. She was loved and will be greatly missed.
