Doris Thomas December 22, 1935 - April 16, 2018
Doris completed her journey on Earth April 16, 2018. She was a worthy matron of Eastern Star of Doylestown, PA, Chapter No. 327 from 1986 to 1987. Doris was born in Doylestown, PA to Anna Matilda and James Newton Wismer. In 1951 Doris married Robert Thomas, Sr. of Doylestown, PA. They had three children, Dolores, Deborra and Robert Jr. She spent her time raising a family and being a housewife. Doris and Robert moved to Silt, CO in 1988. After Robert’s death in 1992, Doris owned and operated Creek Meadow Gardens in Rifle, CO until 2002 when she moved to Palisade, CO. Doris spent the last several years at the Commons Assisted Living in Grand Junction, CO. She is survived by her daughter, Deb Williamson of Basalt, CO and her son, Robert Thomas Jr. of Palisade, CO; grandchildren, Kim Dickinson of Bayfield, CO; James Serrill of Glenside, PA, and Aimee Sanders of Rifle, CO; greatgrandchildren, Cassidy, Liam and Benjamin Serrill of Glenside, PA and Christopher and Jackson Sanders of Rifle, CO. Cremation has taken place and Doris’s wishes are to be placed with her loving husband, Robert, at Trinity Church of Perkasie, PA. Memorial service will be announced privately to family members. Memorial contributions can be made to HopeWest, 3090B N 12th Street, Grand Junction, CO 81506. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Palisade Funeral Home.
