Gerald "Jerry" Morse May 24, 1936 - September 2, 2018
Gerald "Jerry" Morse, beloved husband of Patti Morse, passed away at home on Sunday, September 2, 2018, in Corona, CA. Jerry was born on May 24, 1936, in Collbran, CO to Glen and Evelyn Morse. He lived at and loved the family ranch in Molina while attending Plateau Valley schools until graduating in 1955. One year later he joined the U.S. Navy. He traveled to many ports of call for 21 years until his retirement as a Chief Petty Officer in 1977. He had planned to return to Colorado, but was offered a position as Senior Weapons Analyst with Dyncorp, a defense contractor in Norco, CA. He stayed with them for 23 years, retiring again in 2001. Jerry loved fishing, hunting, playing cards and most of all the big gatherings at home with Patti and the family, and always two trips a year to Colorado. He is survived by Patti, his wife of 36 years; sons, Steve Gossett (Jill), and Brian Gossett (Laurie); daughter, Leslie Jones (Jeff); five grandchildren; one great-grandchild, and brothers, Gordon of San Diego, CA, and Bill of Molina, CO. Services were held at Crossroads Church in Corona on Saturday, September 8, 2018 with full military honors.
