Andrew McCalls Body Found In Louisiana

The body of Andrew McCall' Bums resident, was found in the Mississippi River at Baton Rouge La., last week, under mysterious circumstances. McCall, who had lived in the Bums vicinity for the past 15 or 20 years, and who had been foreman on the Benton Land land Livestock Ranch for the past 8 years, left there October 1, presumably for Craig. He was next heard of in Phoenix, where he ; stopped at the home of Harry Benton’s daughter' Mrs. Cecil Miller. Early in December Eagle county officials were contacted for information concerning a Colorado car carrying license number 44-403 found locked and abandoned in Baton Rouge. The license number and car description proved the car belonged to Mr. McCall. Eagle County was notified last week that the body of a man was found partially submerged in the Mississippi about six miles from where the car had been parked. The body was badly decomposed, but fully clothed, identification was established through checking fingerprints with fingerprints on the Bums’ man’s Army record. Louisiana officials stated there were no marks on the body to indicate foul play, but that death was not due to drowning, as no water was in the lungs. He is survived by a daughter, Mary Herin of Whittier, Calif
