On December 21, Former Steamboat Springs resident Roy Lipson passed away in Las Vegas at the age of 95. The Lipson's moved to Steamboat Springs in 1971. He is survived by Joan his wife of 64 years and was preceded in death by his son JP in 2008. Roy was a proud and decorated member of the Naval Officer's Corp during WW2 and received a Purple Heart and achieved the rank of Lieutenant.
