Belva E. Bailey, 76, Grand Junction, died Sept. 18, 2018, at her home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at New Covenant Baptist Church. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, at Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado. She worked in nutritional services for School District 51. Survivors include two daughters, Stephanie Markert and Shelley Taylor, both of Grand Junction; two brothers, Dale Park and Dennis Park, both of Grand Junction; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Belva Elemeda Bailey, longtime resident of Grand Junction, CO, was called to heaven to be with our Lord on September 18, 2018. She was 76 years of age. Belva was born July 24, 1942, in Uravan, CO, to Oliver and Reba Park (Adams). She found and married the love of her life, Glenn Bailey, on October 22, 1960. They were married for 50 years. She worked in food nutrition for School District 51 for 27 years. She is survived by her brothers, Dale Park and Dennis Park; daughters, Stephanie (Steven) Markert and Shelley Taylor; grandchildren, Amber, Jennifer, Mindy, Matthew, Dylan, and Jordan, and eight great-grandchildren. Her husband, Glenn; parents, and brother, Doyle Park, preceded her in death. Her family was her world. She enjoyed life simply by being around them. She was their world too. All of them adored their mama and granny. She will be missed dearly. Everyone that knew her quickly became her friend; she was a joy be to around. A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 24, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at New Covenant Baptist Church, 3196 I Road. Burial will be at Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado, Thursday, September 27, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the care and direction of CallahanEdfast Mortuary.
