Steamboat Pilot and Today - January 28, 2019

Jeff Reimer, a long time resident of Steamboat Springs, Incline Village, NV. and the Island of Hawaii, passed away peacefully Dec. 15th, with his beloved niece and nephews near his bedside. Jeff was born May 20, 1943 in So. California, the child of Harriett Wilson, the musical leader of the nationally renown all-woman “Singing Strings” ensemble and Marvin Reimer, of the L.A. Times and General Manager of the S.B. Sun-Telegram newspapers. Jeff joined his father, Marvin, in the father-son enterprise, Western Colorprint , founded by Marvin in the early ’70’s. Together they created a successful business — Jeff, with his eye for detail and Marvin, the seasoned publisher with international contacts. A gifted musician and competitive cyclist, Jeff thrived on the company of good friends and family, his favorite dog, and the exhilarating beauty of wild landscapes. Jeff is survived by his sister, Claudia Giacinto, brother-law, Thomas and his niece and nephews, Adam, Damon, Kara Giacinto and Nicholas Dobson of CA. He will be sorely missed. A memorial will be held at 11 a.m. at the Yampa Valley Funeral Home, Steamboat, February 10, 2019.
