Thomas Spencer and wife Merel Anna Potter, moved to Eagle in 1941, where they purchased a cattle ranch on Brush Creek. They named the operation the 7-Up Ranch, and on it raised high quality Hereford cattle. In 1962 Mr and Mrs Spencer sold the ranch and moved into the town of Eagle. Missing country life, they moved to the ranch of their niece and husband, Coleen and Dan Rule, who lived north of Eagle. In September 1981 they moved back to Columbus, Kansas, where Mrs Spencer died.He then moved to the Wagonhammer Ranch in Crook County, Wyoming. He then lived and died at Pioneer Manor in Gillette.
