Death of Jess Spurr

The remains of Jess Sourr are exnected in from Duluth, Minn., today. Burial will be Sunday at 2P. M t . from the church. Jess Spurr is the arn of Mr. and Mrs. William Spurr of Gilman. While on a visit East, he was stricken with heart disease. He was confined to a hospital for six months before death relieved his sufferings. He was born in this county about thirty-five years a?o, in the town of Mitchell in the upper end of the county. His general occupation was mining*, having workrxi several years f?r the Empire Zinc company. He has also railroaded to some extent, nring- from Minturn ta Sahda. Jers had many warm friends among?? t his associates. His wife, an estimable woman, died two years ago. His brother Melvin was killed in an accident in 1917, both of whom are buried in the Red Ciiff cemetery?where it was his wish to rest. His venerable father and mother, living at Gilman, two brothers, Harry and Clyde and his two small children who make their home wi f h the {>rand oarents, survive him.
