KATHERINE SPURR BURIED IN RED CLIFF THURSDAY
Funeral services were conducted at Red Cliff Presbyterian Church by Rev Wm Brown of the First Federated Church of Leadville, Thursday afternoon, March 18,1965. Interment was at the Red Cliff cemetery, with Oscar Nelson, Everett Warren, Edward L. Chockie, Frank McDonald, Howard Mize and John Mignone, Jr., as pallbearers.
Katherine Godic was born in Leadville May 10, 1898 and died in the Leadville hospital March 1965, at the age of 66 years. She had been ill for 14 months.
She moved with her parents to Glenwood Springs in 1904, where she attended school. She married William Clyde Spurr in Leadville May 25, 1929, and the couple lived in Gillman where he was employed by the Empire Zinc Co. Mr Spurr preceded his wife in death. She is survived by a son, Chuck Coby of Gilman and one daughter , Anna Marie Ronquist of Ketchikan, Alaska and on grand child Betty Lou Ronquist.
