WILLIAM SPURR
Another pioneer of the early day mining camps of Colorado passed on when William Spurr of Red Cliff died in a Sallda hospital September 16 , 1936 . Eorn in Amity , Me .. June 13 , 1852 , he migrated to Leadville , Colo ., in 1891 , and has since resided In the state , in various mining camps . He was married 53 years ago to Bessie Sparks . Two children live to mourn his loss , Harry and Clyde Spurr , both Jiving at Red Cliff , and two granddaughters also ^ survive , Helen and Betty Spurr , living in Denver . His latter years have been spent in Red Cliff and Gilman , making his home with his sons , since advancing years broke his health . He was vigorous until the past year , tfuring which time he has been In very low health . Funeral services were held Sunday from the Presbyterian church in Red Cliff , Rev . T . B . McDivitt of tbe Eagle Methodist church , delivering the funeral discourse . Burial services were in charge of Mortician O . W . Meyer and the body waa laid to rest in the cemetery in Red Cliff , followed to its last resting place by many admiring and sorrowing friends .

Uncle Billy Spurr , one of the old timers of Colorado , died in a Saiida hospital Thursday . Mr . Spun- was 84 years of age . Funeral services will beheld in Red Cliff Sunday afternoon
