W. Alice McKellar, 105, of Greeley passed away on Monday, August 27, 2018, at Garden Square at Westlake Assisted Living. Alice was born August 12, 1913, in Clapham Junction, New Mexico to Harry and Myrtle (Bowen) McKellar. She came to Colorado when she was two and grew up on Rogers Mesa in Delta County. She graduated from Hotchkiss High School in Hotchkiss, Colorado. She received her business degree in Califora. She worked as a bookkeeper in Delta and Weld County Department of Social Services, then as a field agent for the Colorado Department of Social Services. She retired in 1977 and moved from Denver to Greeley. She is survived by her son, Merle (Olga) Noland; daughter, Leona (Ed) Bowker; grandchildren, Belinda (Charlie) Taylor, Bonnie (David) Martin, Robin (Martin) Vierow, Norman (Sue) Noland, Alan Noland, and Joseph (Tracy) Noland; 15 greatgrandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents, Harry and Myrtle McKellar; sister Sadie Christian, and twin brother, W. Charles McKellar. She will be laid to rest on October 8, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the Hotchkiss Riverside Cemetery, Hotchkiss, CO with the Pastor Carol Layton presiding.
