Esther Stanley passed away at Heritage Care Center, Carbondale, CO on October 24 2005. Esther was born in Gypsum, CO on August 20, 1910 to Alfred and Lena Hendrickson. She married Claude Willima Stanley on August 19, 1934. She graduated Eagle County High School in 1928 and then attended Barnes Busines College in Denver. After working at Gypsum Merchantile and as Postmaster at the Gypsum Post Office, she and Bill opened Stanley's Cash Grocery in Eagle in 1941 until retirement in 1971.
