Frank Steacy, pioneer business man of Minturn and former mayor of the town, was one of our best known citizens in that section, died yesterday after a brief illness of apoplexy. Mr. Steacy was born in Sterling Illinois in 1874 and came to Leadville in 1880, where he engaged in mining. Twenty five years ago Mr Steacy went to Minturn where he started his own business. At the time of death, he was the leading merchant of that section. He was a member of the Masonic fraternity, the Wooodmen and the Woodmen of Woodcraft. He survived by a widow and one sister. The later living in Woodbury, New Jersey.
