Funeral services for Charles (Fred) Stout, 89, former Gypsum resident, were held Dec 3rd at the Methodist church of Gypsum. Mr. Stout died Nov. 30 in Grand Junction. He was born in Burlington, Colo. on Jan. 9, 1886. He married Edna Mary Winningham on Aug 27, 1913. The Stouts ranched in the Gypsum area from 1914 to 1948. In 1948 moved to Grand Junction.

Survivors include his wife Edna of Glenwood Springs, five sons, Ira Stout of Grand Junction, Rex Stout of California, Richard Stout of Minturn, and Dale Stout of Gypsum, four daughters, Lynn (Myrtie) Price of Gypsum, Mr.s Robert (Georgia Bowen of Denver, Mrs. L.D. (Mary) Bennett of Gypsum, and Mrs. Jim (Hazel0 Southerland of Eagle. Also two sisters, Mamie Skiff of Gypsum and Ada Rickstrew of DeBeque. Burial was at Cedar Hill.
