Ira James Stout of Grand Junction died May 17 at Mesa Nursing , he was 82.
Formerly a miner at Climax Uranium Company,, he was born Juen 5, 1914 at Mountain view, MO. He spent his childhood in Gypsum. Married Nettie M. Brown on May 28, 1940 in Moab, UT and the couple lived in Leadville and Moab before moving to Grand Junction in 1955. He served in the Army during World War II. Survivors include his wife, Nettie, daughters Glenda Peters of Baltimore, MD, Karen Lundy of Grand Junction: brothers Rex and Lee, both of California, Richard of Grand Junction and Dale of La Junta, sisters Hazel Raebel and Mary Bennet of Grand Junction, Georgia Bowen of Denver, and Myrtle Price of Gypsum. Burial in Oddfellows Cemetery of Grand Junction.
