Kenneth Casper Rosenbrock April 2, 1928 - December 4, 2018
Mr. Rosenbrock was born April 2, 1928, to Henry and Carrie Klatt Rosenbrock in Herington, Kansas. He graduated from Burdick High School in 1945. He moved to Denver, Colorado shortly after graduation. He served in the US Army, 45th Infantry Division, from 1950-1952 in Japan and Korea. Upon returning home from the service he took up carpentry and cabinet making at West High School in Denver, where he worked in cabinet making, for 16 years. Kenneth married Shirley Rutt in 1954, and lived in North Denver for 11 years, where their two daughters, Cheryl and Cindy, were born. The family moved to the Coal Creek Canyon in 1965. Kenneth was empolyed at the Rock Flats plant from 1968 until 1989 as a Maintenance Carpenter. He was a Volunteer Fire Fighter for 20 years for the Coal Creek Fire Department, serving 12 years as an Emergency Medical Technician. Upon retirement, Kenneth and Shirley traveled in their RV; they especially enjoyed going to Lake Powell to fish. The couple moved to Clifton, Colorado in October of 2011 to be near their family. Kenneth is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Shirley, of Clifton; daughter, Cindy Ferguson (Tom) of Collbran, Colorado; grandchildren, Jared Galbraith, Carrie Johnson, Matthew Cole and K.D. Ferguson, as well as 11 great-greatgrandchildren, and cousin, Elizabeth Schnakenberg of Groton, MA. He is preceded in death by daughter, Cheryl Fosburgh, and his parents, Henry and Carrie Rosenbrack. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 7, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Palisade with Pastor Tony Abbott officiating. Burial will be at the Eaglelite Cemetery in Collbran. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 6, 2018, from 4 - 8:00 p.m. at the Palisade Funeral Home Chapel, 729 Elberta Avenue, Palisade. The family requests memorials to the First Baptist Church of Palisade as well as HopeWest Hospice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Palisade Funeral Home.
