Jerry D. Jarrett, 82, Grand Junction, died Dec. 4, 2018, at La Villa Grande Care Center. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Clifton Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He was a milk truck driver. Survivors include his wife, Barbara; two sons, Steven of Grand Junction and Robert of Salt Lake City, Utah; three daughters, Leslie Hackney and Susan Machadow, both of Grand Junction, and Katherine Nichols of Tucson, Arizona; one brother, Kenneth of Laytonville, California; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Jerry Dale Jarrett April 8, 1936 - December 4, 2018
Jerry was born to Joseph Jarrett and Opal Irene in Clifton. He grew up with one brother, Kenneth, from California. Jerry attended Palisade High School and graduated in 1954. He married his highschool sweetheart, Barbara Brown, in 1955. They had five children, Leslie, Steve, Kathy, Sue, and Bobby. For 30 years Jerry was a milkman for Crescent Creamery. He was known as a kind and gentle person and a friend to everyone who knew him. He was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1975 and served as an Elder until his death. Jerry will be sorely missed by all until his earthly resurrection. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; children, Leslie (Bob) Hackney, Steve (Carrie) Jarrett, Kathy (Bill) Nichols, Sue (Dave) Machado, and Bobby (Patti) Jarrett, as well as seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Special thanks to the staff at the La Villa Grande Care Center for their loving and attentive care provided to Jerry. Services will be held Saturday, December 8th, at 2:00 p.m. at Clifton Kingdom Hall, 3303 E 3/4 Road, Clifton, CO.
