Alfred A. Valdez was born March 15,1948, in Wagon Mount, N.M. to Delfina and Eloisa Valdez. His parents and brothers Gilbert and Eloy Paul preceded him in death. Alfred departed this life on Thursday in Denver. He served his country in the US Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War, earning him medals of honor. Following Army discharge he lived in Minturn and was employed by the New Jersey Zinc Co. in Gilman, before moving to Denver.

He is survived by his children, Charlotte and Antonio Valdez; grandchildren Mikaela adn Enrique Valdez, brother Robert (Lucy), Richard (Jeanne), Delfino Jr. and Ernie; sisters Olivia LaFebre (Billmen) and Lonnie. Burial at Ft. LoganCemetery.
