Charles Ross August 15, 1928 - December 8, 2018
Charles Woodard Ross, age 90, died December 8, 2018, following a long illness. Born August 15, 1928, in Montrose, CO, he was the son of the late Clarence and Edith Ross. He was a veteran of the US Army Air force from 1946 -1949, having achieved the rank of Sergeant, receiving his Marksman Badge. Charles was a miner, and also worked in the construction industry. He was a long time member of Victory Life Church. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family. Charles was a devout Christian, with strong family values with a generous, loyal, servant’s heart. Charles was preceded in death by his father, mother, and five siblings. He is survived by his wife, Joyce L. Ross (Gibson); brothers, Arthur Ross and David Ross; daughters, Kitty (Jerry) Payton of Grand Junction, CO, and Paula (Gary) Blunk of Seymour, MO; son, Mark (Kristie) Ross of Grand Junction, CO; eight grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be Thursday, December 13, 2018, at Victory Life Church, 2066 Hwy 6&50 Fruita, CO 81521, with visitation at 10:00 a.m., and service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Services have been entrusted to Brown’s Cremation and Funeral Services.
