Thomas Arthur Guccini, 74, Loma, died Oct. 19, 2018, in Loma. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. A celebration will follow at noon, at Absolute Prestige Ranch, 1351 Q Road in Loma. He was a farmer/rancher. Survivors include his wife Patee; one son, Mario of Loma; one daughter, Tracy Wright of Las Vegas, Nevada; one sister Treena Luchetta of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Thomas Arthur Guccini September 22, 1944 - October 19, 2018
Thomas Arthur Guccini died unexpectedly in a farming accident on Friday, October 19. Born September 22, 1944, Tom was a lifelong farmer in Loma, Colorado. Guccini Farms is a major producer of hay, grain and cattle. Born in Fruita and raised in Loma by his loving parents, Arthur and Evonne. Tom attended Loma Elementary School and graduated from Fruita High School in 1962. He graduated from Mesa Junior College in 1964 and continued his education at Colorado State University where he graduated in 1967 with a degree in Agriculture Science. He then married Patee L. Davis in 1969 and remained on the Loma farm to work alongside his father, Art. They were recognized as top tomato producers in the late 60’sand again in the early 70’sas top sugar beet producers. Tom and his father then founded A&T Guccini which later became COLO-WEST Hay Company bringing the first hay cubers to Western Colorado. Tom was best known for his strong work ethic. That work ethic served him well in maintaining daily operations on the farm. The legacy of Guccini Farms continues today. It was very important to Tom to continue the traditions of family values and hard work. He believed in keeping the family close and loved family dinners. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Evonne. He is survived by his wife, Patee; daughter, Tracy Wright (Ken); grandsons, Tanner and Trevor; son, Mario (Diana); granddaughter, Sophia Jane; sister, Treena Luchetta (Mario); nephews, Kenny and Phillip, and step-mother, Mary E. Guccini. Services at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary Saturday, October 27, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. A Celebration of Life will follow at noon at Absolute Prestige Ranch, 1351 Q Rd. in Loma, Colorado
