Rudy G. Valencia
DENVER, Colorado ” Rudy G. Valencia, 68, of Denver, passed away March 20 at 7:11 p.m.
Valencia was born Jan. 7, 1940, and raised in Red Cliff.
He was preceded in death by his father, Vincente; mother Teresita; brothers Vincente Jr. and Leroy; and sister Edna.
He is survived by his wife, Connie; sisters Viola, Marcella, Eva and Marguerite; sons Vincent, Rudy, Jason, Donnie and Nathan; daughter Veronica; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Rudy was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving from 1958 to 1962, and supervisor for the Denver Parks and Recreation for 36 years, as well as an avid outdoorsman whose passions included fishing, hunting, camping, dancing and, most importantly, family.
A very religious Christian, he was a friend of many and would always help no matter the situation. We all love you so very much, rest in peace.
A Rosary was held Wednesday. There will be a memorial service and viewing Thursday, at 10 a.m., at The Church of the Good Shepherd, 2626 W. 7th Ave., Denver. Rudy will be laid to rest at Ft. Logan National Cemetery at 2 p.m.
