Charles N. Roswell, 85, Clifton, died Dec. 16, 2018, at his home. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday at Martin Mortuary Chapel. Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. in the mausoleum at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. He was a conductor and brakeman for the Denver Rio Grande Railroad. He is survived by one son, Steve of Clifton; two daughters, Janis McElley and Karen Shawler, both of Clifton; one brother, Ottis of Clifton; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Charles N. Roswell, 85, of Clifton passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018, at his home. He was born January 2, 1933 in Texarkana, Texas, the son of James H. and Mamie (Durham) Roswell. Charles worked for the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad as a Conductor and Brakeman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling in his motorhome. Survivors include son, Steve and his wife, Joanne, of Clifton; daughters, Janis and her husband, Dan McElley, and Karen and her husband, Mike Shawler, both of Clifton; brother, Ottis Roswell of Clifton; 11 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and numerous brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held from 9 - 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Martin Mortuary. A graveside service will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the Mausoleum at Grand Junction Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
