Mrs. Lena McGuire Taylor died May 7, 1969 at Mt View Nursing Home, Glenwood Springs, at age 80 years. She was born Lena McGuire in Carbondale, Oct. 16, 1888 and lived there until age 5 years of age, when she moved with her parents to Eagle, living there for the rest of her life. She married William Taylor in 1905, and the couple ranched in the Brush Creek area until his death in 1963. She was also preceded in death by an infant son.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by her sister, Mars Margaret Peery of Long Beach, Calf. and a niece Mrs. Barbara Pearch and a nephew Frank Gleason, both of Eagle. Burial was in the Eagle cemetery.
