Jess R. (Jay) Coates, 76, Grand Junction, died Dec. 17, 2018, in Grand Junction. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Brown’s Cremation and Funeral Chapel. He was a truck driver. He is survived by his wife, Diana Kay Clymer; five daughters, Cheri Cooper, Deena Von Burg and Tami Duran, all from Grand Junction, Shelli Mae of Naturita and Lori Von Burg of Mesa; one sister, Joan Nichols of Los Angeles, California; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
