Willa Deen “Dee” (Lange) Irwin, 80, Grand Junction, died Dec. 18, 2018, at HopeWest Hospice Care Center. Viewing and services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Browns Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Orchard Mesa Cemetery. She was a clerk and a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Wallace; one son, Donald of Grand Junction; two daughters, Colleen Moss and Nancy Ketchum, both of Grand Junction; two brothers, Robert Lange of Cedaredge and Ronald Lange of Grand Junction; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Willa Deen "Dee" Irwin December 11, 1938 - December 18, 2018
Dee Irwin passed away at HopeWest on December 18th, at the age of 80. She was born to William and Florence (Ensley) Lange in Grand Junction, Colorado. Dee spent her childhood in Grand Junction and graduated from Central High School in 1956. She married Wallace Irwin Jr. in 1956. Together they had three children, Donald Irwin, Colleen (Larry) Moss, and Nancy (Michael) Ketchum. Dee was also the proud grandmother of five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Dee spent her life doing a variety of jobs. One of her favorites was a milk tester for Western Colorado Milk Producers. She enjoyed the mountains, fishing, hunting, playing the slots in Mesquite, and Bingo. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and always worried about her "flock". Dee was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Richard, and grandson, Donald Jr. Services will be December 27, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at Brown’s Funeral Service, Grand Junction, Colorado. Burial immediately following at Orchard Mesa City Cemetery.
