MBS . JOHN A . TERRY LAID TO REST AT EDWARDS

The . body of Mrs . John A . Terry was laid to rest In the cemetery at Edwards last Friday afternoon . Funeral services for the deceased lady were held In the Edwards hali , Rev . George Eller , pastor of the trutheran church at Gypsum delivering the discourse . During the services a male quartete , consisting of H . K . Brooks , Wm . H . Lea , E . E . Lea , and Alvin Webb , gang , Wonderful Mother of Mine , Beyond the River , and Gotl Will Take Caro of You , Miss Marion Stanley accompanying the singers at the piano . The services were attenued by a large concourse of old neighbors of the community . Malinda Caroline Anderson was born in Dossenville , Geo ., December 88 , 1876 . She departed this lite ai Edwards , Colo ., March 15 , 193 V , at the age of 60 years , 2 months and VI days . When she was twelve years old the family migrated to Texas , and from there to Colorado Springs , In March of 1894 . It was here that she waa united in marriage to John A . Terry , Filled with a pioneer spirit and of independence , the young couple face a life together , and , continuing th „ journey westward , coming to Ed

wards , Colo ., in May , 1900 , and located on a homestead on West Lake creek , where they have since resided . The union was blessed with seven children—William J ., Eutice , Charlie , James , Leona , Viola , and Tnelma , at . of whom survive and reside in the Edwards community . Besides the sorrowing husband and children , Mrs . Terry leaves to mourn her pasing , three brothers—Garfieiri , Arthur and Clinton , all of Phoenix , Ariz . ; thirteen grandchildren , and a score oi friends and neighbors who will mlaa her friendly smile . One brother , Garfield , was present from Arizona ior the funeral . In early life Malinda Anderson pledged her faith to God In the Baptist church . Very recently she quoted , In my Fathers house are many

MRS . JOHN TERRY DIES . Mrs . John A . Terry , one of the old time residents of West Lake creek , died at the borne of her daughter , Mrs . James Brett , at Edwards last Monday evening , March 15 . Mrs , Terry had been bedfast since Ut & t November , and her death was not unexpected by her family . Owing to the accident in which Mr . Terry was involved Tuesday morning the funeral has been delayed , but it is now thought that it can be held today , Friday , afternoon at Edwards school house .

JOHN A , TERRY AND ARCHIE LAWLOR SERIOUSLY INJURED —PARTY WAS ENROUTE TC EAGLE TO MAKE FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS FOR MRS . TERRY

John Terry and Archie Lawlor o £ Lake creek wei * both seriously injured Tuealay morning when tue Terraplane car driven by Mrs . James Brett overturned on the state highway about two miles west of wuicott and threw all of the occupanty of the car out onto the pavement o . the highway . Mrs . Brett had a severe bruise to one ear , but was otherwise uninjured , and a small cnild with Mrs . Brett was likewise uninjured . Mr . Teirry waa the most seriously injured , having a collar bone broken , and bruised all over pretty badly . It was at first thought a number of ribs were also broken , but an ex-ray examination in a Glenwood hospital revealed that the riba were all Intact ; Lawlor was practically scalped , the scalp being torn from the skull clear

across the top of his head , it requiring thirteen stitches to close the wound . He also suffered many severe scratches and bruises about the body , especially on his arms anu i ~ h The Injured people were all brought to Eagle where Dr . Eugene Beucnat treated the injuries , and that evening Mr . • Terry was taken to Uiet hospital in Glenwood for an ex-ray examination to determine the extent of his injuries . Mr . Terry s wife died Monday and this party was enroute to Eagle \ o complete arrangements for the funeral which waa to have been held Wednesday , but was postponed on account of this accident . It is now thought that Mr . Terry will be able to attend Friday , and it has been iw . tentatively for Friday afternoon at the Edwards school house .
