Arleen was born in Desert, UT, and later moved with her family to Fruita, CO. She graduated from Fruita Union High School, and soon after married John D. Brach, Jr. on October 23, 1947. They ran a successful family business, Brach Packing Comapny, for over 35 years. Arleen was a homemaker, business owner, and in her later years, enjoyed working as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Family Health West in Fruita. She was awarded Employee of the Month in 1988. In her later years she helped her son, John Dee, with his business as a meat wrapper and also helped him at Johnnie’s Tavern. She loved children and taking care of her family. She was a volunteer at Sacred Heart Church in Fruita and a parishioner for over 70 years. Arleen was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Brach Jr; sons, Danny and Joseph; grandson, Todd Ball, and brothers, Clyde Monte and Mandy Montoya. She is survived by children, Judy Kannard, Loma; Geri Riggs (Rocky), Grand Junction, and John Dee Brach, Fruita; grandchildren, Kevin Ball, Grand Junction; Marcie Madain, Palm Desert, CA; JD Brach, Grand Junction; Nathan Brach, Centennial, CO, and greatgrandchildren, Tyler Ball, Grand Junction; Cody and Chase Brach, Salt Lake City; Dominic Brach, Centennial, CO, and Sophia Madain, Palm Desert, CA. Sunday, February 3, will be a viewing from 4:00 - 5:30, Rosary 5:30, and Funeral Mass Monday, February 4 at 11:00 a.m., all to be held at Sacred Heart Church, Fruita, CO. Burial will immediately follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Fruita.

Arleen T. Brach, 90, Fruita, died Jan. 24, 2019, at her home. Visitation will be from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fruita. Rosary will be said at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, at the church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday, at the church. She was the former co-owner of Brach Meat Packing. Survivors include two daughters, Judy Kannard of Loma and Geri Riggs of Grand Junction; one son, John Dee of Fruita; one brother, Tony Montoya of Grand Junction; two sisters, Mary Jane Montoya of Grand Junction and Lucille Green of Arvada; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
